I feel it is necessary to address some inaccuracies. When approached by the sellers to list the property I supplied them with sales information on homes in their neighborhood that had recently sold.. The sellers insisted listing the home well above what comparables reflected. This is not an unusual tactic by sellers knowing that most buyers will offer a reduced price and ask for concessions. The home did show very well however, not enough to justify the difference in price from surrounding homes. After several months on the market at the original list price I suggested we lower the price to be competitive in the market. This action did generate renewed interest in the property and I was able to bring the seller a buyer for a sales price slightly below what I had originally suggested we list the home at. I am sorry the sellers feel the way they do however, I did sell their home at the fair market price in a suppressed market and I am the realtor that brought the buyers.
